Our client provides technical due diligence and engineering services for solar and storage clients around the globe to financial institutions, project developers, EPCs, IPPs, and PV power plant owners.

Primary duties of Project Lead, Supply Chain Management include the following:

  • Work directly with high-value customers as a project lead for solar and storage procurement
  • Provide guidance to high-value customers about the technology and commercial trends in the solar and storage industries
  • Analyze potential supply partners in the solar and storage industries
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subject matter experts to create tailored, high-quality analyses and deliverables related to the procurement of solar and storage equipment and solar-related equipment
  • Design and administer RFI/RFP/RFQ for solar and storage equipment and solar-related equipment
  • Negotiate with suppliers of solar and storage and solar-related equipment to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Implement plans to assure order meet the specified quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Support high value customers with ad-hoc procurement and procurement-related needs in the solar and storage industries
  • Develop and manage a database of solar and storage suppliers
  • Present and educate high value customers about Market Intelligence tools and their use
  • Provide guidance to high value customers about the cultural context and soft skills necessary to successfully conduct business with stakeholders 
  • Represent the company during high value customer visits in Europe 

Secondary duties of Project Lead, Supply Chain Management include the following:

  • Support customers, and serve as the liaison between customers and teams, during negotiation of technical exhibits for solar PV module supply agreements
  • Other tasks related to Supply Chain Management, including special projects and analytical support

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Passion for the field of renewable energy
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a procurement-related role in the solar or storage industries
  • Demonstrated interest in client-facing and consultative services in international markets
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering, business, policy, economics, or science. Other degree backgrounds are encouraged to apply if the candidate is interested in renewable energy
  • Direct experience with European stakeholders in the solar and storage industries
  • Fluent English and fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese (another European language is a plus)
  • High level of proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word
