The Company

Our client is a leading international solar inverter manufacturer, with a world class team of professionals providing innovative solutions and products for both residential customers and the utility sector. Having recently celebrated their impressive shipment record, they have been fully fuelled for their next milestone and market expansion across the globe.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to play a key part of this Renewable Energy team and also play an essential role in the execution in VIC and other states. You will be responsible for the delivery of the construction phase of projects including management, coordination and reporting. You will be based in Melbourne with occasional site visits.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Broad project management & preparing project status reports to both HQ and local stakeholders
  • Daily engagement, co-ordination and management of consultants, suppliers and contractors
  • Supporting supply chain, engineering and on-site teams to ensure the project is delivered according to the correct standards and timeframes.
  • Working with peers function, support the project hand over to investors according to agreed timeline, including but not limited to inspection and commissioning.
  • Creating detailed schedules and be able to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Working with NSPs/AMEO and retailers to lodge REC registration.

Selection Criteria

To be successful for this position, you should have:

  • A degree in solar or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering science
  • At least three years’ experience as an engineer in Utility solar/wind or similar industry,
  • At least two years relevant work experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of PV power plants.
  • 3+ years work experience as project manager in solar sector, deliciated in project implementation (accumulated 50+ MWp completed solar project reference) but also involved in project development (technical supporting) during the project development stage;
  • Familiar with the grid interconnection process for Australia Market;
  • Strong presence at the project subcontractors and EPC contractors;
  • Experience in permitting processes with local authorities having jurisdiction is a plus
  • Fluent speaking and well writing in English, Mandarin is a plus.
  • PMP certification preferred;
