Our client is an international smart PV energy solution provider integrating PV technology R&D, intelligent manufacturing and development, construction and operation of power plants.

Focusing on intelligent PV manufacturing and power plant development, they provide high-quality products, services and green power solutions to customers and partners across the world, covering more than 100 countries and regions through continuous technological innovation. 

The Opportunity

Having rebuilt their channel network in Australia and so far focusing on residential market sales, the company is now also focusing on commercial projects and they are looking to triple last year's sales. This role will support all market segments. 

Mainly office-based, with occasional travel, you will have the opportunity to support both pre- and post-sales as the main Engineer in a friendly, down-to-earth and resilient team in Sydney CBD.

 

Role Responsibilities

You will manage all aspects of panel product support, warranty, product maintenance & engineering standard, and help grow training standards, maintenance standard & external support to customers, project partners, retailers, EPC’s & integrators.

It is essential to develop and build project opportunities together with the Sales Department and, as part of the Leadership team, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of after-sales service plan, product delivery & project management endeavours by providing input into strategic business growth and improvement decisions.

 

  • Establish & manage after-sales service & maintenance protocols. 
  • Assist in development for the product and solutions to market.
  • Assist with technical designs and input demonstrating energy savings, yield maximisation, best use of the products & advise on best engineering practices compared with existing or competitive technologies.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team to enhance clients, retailers, installers, EPC’s & electrical contractors on needs, performance & integration of the products. 
  • Develop and improve the company systems for managing the product and warranty management. 

 

Selection Criteria

With a clear strategic mindset with analytical focus, innovation, leadership and excellent communication skills, you will have:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years Solar industry experience as an Electrical Engineer 
  • Strong technical comprehension of solar module production & operating function.
  • Experience working through project development process (RFI, RFP & RFQ). 
  • Project management & delivery, problem solving, organisational & planning and high-level contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience using an ERP management system, CAD & Solar design tools
