An international leader in the solar industry, our client manufactures and distributes its solar products and sells its solutions and services to a diversified international utility, commercial and residential customer base in 160 countries and regions across the globe. 



As part of their continuous business expansion, they are now looking to diversify the application scenarios of PV technology and create a new energy ecosystem by introducing Battery Storage as their new product line.  

This is an excellent opportunity to be actively involved in building the Battery Storage arm of the business primarily in a technical role, by providing pre-and after sales support to the company's sales teams and customers in Australia, while also interfacing with the commercial delivery and product management sides of the business. 


Role & Responsibilities

As Sales Engineer, the successful candidate will provide pre-and after-sales support and consultation to the Australian Sales Teams and customers, ensuring efficient and timely response. You will also:


  • Manage customer onsite information for defects and claim issues, failure analysis, problem solving with internal resources.
  • Actively capture customer needs on product development, collect market information and assist international headquarters Technical Service department with latest updates.
  • Contact and build relations with third party consultant, laboratories and institutes and participate in all team activities including trainings, workshops and trade fairs. 
  • Acquire new customers, strengthen closer relationship with existing customers and agree on annual plans with customers.
  • Monitor monthly and quarterly performance, negotiate pricing and contract terms, control credit terms and ensure payments are received on time from customers. 


Selection Criteria

Proficient in English, the successful candidate will have a result-driven approach, be self-motivated, independent, diligent and detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation, communication and organization skills. Proactive in solving problems and comfortable with customer interactions, as well as: 


  • Must be bilingual in Mandarin and English.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, PV & Renewable, Technology or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Photovoltaic Industry and a good understanding of the local PV market
  • Willingness and ability to travel (approx. 25% of the time).
  • Recently proven track record of successful execution of B2B sales targets in previous roles, ideally in international PV/ Solar or related industry.
