Opportunity

Having successfully supported their customers in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) market since inception, our clients are looking to further expand their portfolio of projects, mainly focusing on large commercial and small utility projects (sub 5MW) with fully integrated BESS. 

 

As the Business Development Manager you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role for the business at a critical time of its development. Reporting to the Sales Director, your primary focus will be to drive sales and business activities for energy storage solutions in Australia and manage the customer experience from initial approach through to commercial operation.

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Build & manage relationships with potential developers, integrators & EPC firms in Renewables, ensuring all service levels are complying with customer requirements.
  • Generate quality leads in large commercial & industrial sector, while actively engaging with potential/ existing customers & partners to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client visits and present compelling business proposals.
  • Actively promote the brand & unique value proposition amongst industry, B2B customers & end-users by attending & presenting at industry events, trade fairs & conferences. 
  • Monitor industry trends, conduct competitor & industry market research & analysis.
  • Provide sales forecasts & manage partner relationships to achieve on target results and support the company’s sales goals through business development plans & strategies.

 

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a genuine hunger for sales and achieving sales targets, as well as:

 

  • Business acumen and demonstrated understanding of the technical & product aspects of BESS/Solar solutions.
  • Proven track record of growing a portfolio of new clients, with success in closing new businesses.
  • Minimum 2 years successful commercial sales expertise.
  • Excellent Sales Management, Business Development & relationship building skills.
  • Previous experience in Renewable Energy, specifically in BESS industrial segments is highly desirable.
