Our Client

One of the world’s largest engineering consultancy companies, our client provides multidisciplinary solutions across Energy, Water, Nuclear & Urban, in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Asia. 

Now working on one of the most exciting renewable energy projects in Australia – Snowy Hydro 2.0 – our client will be instrumental in the delivery of Snowy Scheme expansion project, consisting of designing and building an underground hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 2,000MW.

The role

Part of the Design Joint Venture (DJV) Lead Design team, the BIM Manager will be managing the BIM models produced by the DJV. In collaboration with Production Centers Leads, they will merge and ensure compatibility of the models, identifying, proposing and implementing potential improvements. Dealing with various stakeholders in the process, they will also be the main point of contact with the client/EPC with regards to the BIM model.

Based in Cooma, the BIM Manager will report to the DJV Project Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify, propose and implement improvements of the system and processes in place with regards to the BIM Model execution and management in liaison with the DJV Project Manager and Production Centers key representatives
  • Oversee the use of the system and processes (templates, checklists…) by the Production Centers (PC) and conduct specific audits
  • Merge the models and carry out the required clash detection to produce one unique model readily available to the client and DJV
  • Manage the non-compliance process internal to the DJV as well as external with regards to issues raised by the client
  • Coordinate the tasks of the DJV BIM/CAD support personnel
  • Keep up to date the BIM Management Plan of the DJV and associated documents
  • Lead meetings with various stakeholders

Your skills & experience

  • Min. 3 years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D
  • Excellent communication skills and capacity to adapt
  • Strong IT skills in MS office including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Highly organised, good attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficient typing skills and in minute taking
